New Dispatcher solution from IHM revolutionizes Bridge Communication
IHM is proud to announce that Beredskab Sønderborg has chosen IHM's dispatcher solution, IHM IP Flexible, for communication with ships passing through Kong Christian X's Bridge and Egernsund Bridge.
The solution enables remote control of all supported functions in the VHF radio Sailor 7222, including Dual Watch, providing operators with outstanding control and flexibility. With the Dual Watch feature, operators can now monitor two channels simultaneously, enhancing safety and enabling faster response times in emergencies.
IHM IP Flexible dispatcher enhances safety
Before implementing the new IHM dispatcher solution, Beredskab Sønderborg had an older VHF system that had to be operated locally.
- 'Since Beredskab Sønderborg moved premises and thus were not close to the bridges, it was necessary to have a VHF system that could be remotely operated,' - states Michael M. Madsen, Fire Master at Beredskab Sønderborg, and continues:
- 'With IHM's solution, we operate the VHF radios and monitor multiple channels via a PC's 10" touchscreen from our new premises. This facilitates our work greatly and provides security for everyone.'
The new IHM communication solution is designed to meet the needs of modern bridge operators and emergency response personnel. The system can easily be expanded with additional operators and radios as needed, providing a flexible and scalable solution that can be adapted to any situation.
