IHM delivered tihe communication switch for the system house Northgate as a part of their control room solution for the The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service Health and Social Care Trust (NIAS). The communication switch, IHM COM4500.net, enables the audio switching between the DIMETRA system and Northgate's Call Touch dispatcher. The delivery included headset boxes for each operator position, too. The headset boxes connects headset, microphone, PTT and speakers to the system.

IHM COM4500.net was selected because of the broad range of interfaces, the capacity and because of the open IP command set to system houses. As NIAS receives approximately 220,000 Emergency Calls per year, IHM COM4500.net was ideal. Additionally, the switch is highly reliable and well integrated in the market with more than 300 ongoing systems.
